Not sure if any of you would be interested in seeing this, but I am on my third time with cancer. I decided to make a bucket list after seeing the previews of the movie "Bucket List". Anyway, on the top was meeting Robin Roberts. I met her last Monday thanks to my family, friends and WTVD news in Durham. She is one awesome lady!
Go to www.wtvd.com and you can pull up my story. What is there now is only a small portion of what will air tonight on the 6 o'clock news. After it airs, I'm hoping the whole thing will be on the site. |

My bucket list consists of little thing...well all except one
Take my daughters (ages 26 & 30) to Disney World - We're leaving 5/8
Another trip to Montana
Ride (or just sit) in a fighter jet
Attend my grandchildrens' weddings
Just a few of them! |

Donna, thanks so much for sharing this part of your life. I pray you are able to do most of what you seek to do on your list. I wish we all lived our lives with a sense of urgency and compassion for one another, unfortuately it takes reminders like the example of your life, for us to remember sometimes that each day is a gift, and to make the most of them and our relationships. I've always felt that Robin was a special person and admired her for her "realness". You just confirmed that.
Blessings to you, Donna, and thank you again for sharing this very personal part of your life. I hope I honor your sharing by not wasting this day, or any other, and the opportunities they present.  |
