Should I stay or should I go nooooowwwww...
Definitely go! My 20th is in 3 years. I am definitely going. I was 7 months post-partum and a flabby size 16. I am currently a size 6/8. I'd like to be back down to a fit 4 by the time that rolls around. |

YES. You should go!
My 20th is next year and I will not be missing it! I've already warned my husband that he has no choice, he has to go along with me and he has to behave. |

Behave? Make sure he doesn't dance or run off with any of your former hs classmates. Or are you saying he might complain about how boring the reunion is?
******************************************* My 10th year reunion was last summer. Reunion had 3 events over 2 days; open social at a bar, family BBQ (friend said it reminded him of a certain type of family reunion), and then a more formal meeting at a nice restaurant.
Social – People (me included) let their libations flow! BBQ – People didn’t show up and several people who did show up hadn’t paid for the $35 meal. Yes, $35 for BBQ! It was supposed to be family oriented, but the dj they had was playing all these uncut rap tunes. Formal – It was a very nice event, but people just sorta came and went.
Overall, I had fun, but was disappointed by the turn out. It is amazing to see where former classmates are. People you thought would succeed by a world based standard did not and others far exceeded what you would expect from them. Social networking sites have put a damper on reunions, I believe, at least for younger generations.

Go. Went to my 20th last fall. Good time. Ended up loaded. Unsure how that happened. At my 10th, a "hot" "popular" cheerleader (in HS) had an odd placement of fat that I took for pregnancy. Luckily, I asked a friend about it and was corrected, instead of asking her. Amazing to see how some people changed. And how some haven't. |

I think there's some truth to that. I already have a pretty good idea where a lot of my classmates are and what they are up to. Went to a really small school, so my class was only about 50 peeps. Pretty easy to keep tabs, especially when my folks still live in that area. |

The truth is that Im old enough that very few of my classmates are on social networking sites. At least the younger generations have a clue of what others are up too.
Im on facebook because its the only way kids at law school talk to each other and I want to know what the heck is going on. My presence on those sites, makes me feel a little like a creepy 40 year old man at a college bar. At some point, it just aint right.
Modified because my use of the english language sucks today. |
