I own one UA long sleeve shirt. I purchased it years ago when I still played ice hockey, as it was much better under pads than a cotton t-shirt.

I refuse to pay primo $ for something I can get at Target or wherever for a quarter of the price.

Yeah, ask backroadrunner about the tool she used to date who refused to "mix brands." He wasn't athletic, either...but I witnessed the entire Adidas "ensemble" once and about choked trying to suppress my laughter.

For warm weather running, I own 3 pairs of shorts, 2 grey, one black. I have 4 shirts, one of which is grey. Every now because of laundry issues, I have to wear a grey shirt with grey shorts. I feel like a tool because it looks like I have an "outfit".

Yeah...I actually try to avoid being too coordinated...always looks so n00bish. I may have top and bottoms that match, but I will try to make sure that my socks and hat clash. Though it's funny how many clothing items I have that match my shoes (NB 902s...bright cyan blue). Some items I had before I had the shoes, some I have bought since, but only because they were on clearance--it's usually coincidence if I put together things that match.

I like Under Armour "heat gear". Blush I have a few Target specials too. Call me eclectic. Anything that makes me look slender is good. Wink Lots of black. Black is slimming...

Yes! And if one wears a crazy bright hat and bright colored shoes no one notices everything in-between...at least that's my theory. Big grin

I completely mix brands with impunity. I don't make an effort to color coordinate, but I do make an effort to not look color-uncoordinated. But the main thing is that all fabrics must be tech fabrics. From socks to hat, runderwear to windbreaker, it's got to be light breathable, and not cotton.

I can't remember that last time I wore a stitch of non-tech fabric, but I do know that if I were confronted with a situation where I had to wear cotton to run in, I'd at least consider skipping the run.

Ditto. As much as I sweat it would be a recipe for severe chafing and general discomfort. About the only thing I would wear of cotton would be a hat.

Hey, mine too! I always wear the brightest colors possible. I don't want a car to hit me on the road, and I want to be found if a cougar drags me into the woods. (Kind of kidding, but not really) Undecided

Yeah...drives me nuts that so much in the way if Winter running gear is black or navy...like that stands out against all the rest of the grey terrain. I wish I could find more bright-colored windbreakers and hats for Winter.

A "drag race" would be a fun run. I would be so on that. No heels, though.
