| Quote from Len on 2/21/2008 at 3:30 AM: I just found out we're staying at the Hyatt Place DFW west in Hurst. I'm mildly irritated with the love of my life for booking a room that far away, but she says the rate she got was worth it. It looks to be a 15-20 minute drive. She told me if I didn't like it, I could get up at 2:30 am and drive from here. She's mean.
I feel your pain, brother! Whenever I bring my wife and daughter to races I have to drive in close to drop them off, then I have to park and walk. Doesn't seem fair. |
"Long-distance runners have to be very strange people. You have to really want to do it. You don't have to win or beat someone, you just have to get through the thing. That's the sense of victory. The sense of self-worth."

| I'm in. Better late then never, right? My mother in law has been sick the last couple of weeks so things have been in limbo. She's now recovering, Mucinex is her friend. We're in last minute scramble mode so I'm not sure if we'll be there early enough for the Worthington meetup. How early is the morning meetup? |

I'm purple bib 2630. I'm going to try and meet at the worthington, but after my fiasco trying to find parking to make it to packet pick up I cannot guarantee anything. It was chilly up there at around 1 pm. Need to check the weather to see what I need to wear in the morning... FWIW- the Hyatt Place in Hurst is a really nice place; especially for $89 a night. I love Bass Ale. |

HTFU! I got yer pep talk.
Gonna be a great day, don't mess it up. Write your report in your head during the race. Make it come out a happy ending. |

I thought about posting my report before the race, and then editing later on Saturday. Not sure, how visualization exercises work with running. |
