just a quick question, is shoe life dictated bye the types of run? I'm on my 2nd pair of NB 644's which have been great for me but I can tell when they get to the end of their span. I've done longer distance running on my newest pair and have recently noticed the aches and pains.. I really want to go to a new shoe but I've got a half in less than 8 days and don't really want to break in a new pair. My last pair lasted ~ 311 miles before I gave em up and these have 234 miles on em. Should I be fine for another week or try to get something new to have by next sat(11/22)?

311 miles would be just broken in for me. This is one of those highly personal things. On the other hand running shoes don't need to be broken in, just do a couple of runs in them and they're good to race in.
