Hmmm...perhaps I need a user group just for that demographic. I could call it "Runs With Dwarves."

| I was going to post something like: I like how this has turned into a breast topic. But that would not be PC, nor is it my favorite part of the female anatomy. Or even a rotisserie chicken. |

Hmmm....but is your favorite part the same on a human female and on a rotisserie chicken?
And I am pretty sure between me and zoomy, pretty much any topic can be turned into a breast topic if need be. |

And you know what's great about not being a 16 year old boy...I have my own set of boobs that I can play with whenever I want...I can buy beer and porn and have sex whenever I want, too, and I don't have to sneak around to do it or be home by curfew. Yay, me! |

Uh, no. I like a thigh on a rotisserie chicken. At a "lust" base, Zoomy got it. A cute butt. But, gosh, the female body is just so beautiful ... I LOVE nice neckbones (can't find anatomy book ...) the ones that go horizontal. Calves. My wife's smile and eyes are best though. |

I was really curious as to who this poster was that was calling everybody bad runners because they hydrate during a run. Now that we know he is 16 it definitely explains a lot. I went to school with kids like that and ran with a couple of them. Let's just say that I'm glad that you are trying to be a really good runner and you have your goals but seriously you don't need to be a dink about it. There is a difference between self confidence and arrogance...and trust me..you are on the arrogant side of that.
Most people here are not in high school and not trying to impress their friends by being the best. Most of us here are runners because we love running...we want to be healthy and happy and running gives us that. Because you can run all out and not get hurt and find that it works for you is great...but it doesn't work for everybody. I'm 28 and just started running again because I missed the feeling I got from it. I used to be pretty good and could run whenever without much training but now if I try to go all out I will more than likely end up hurting something because that's what age does to you.
You probably won't listen to this because you know everything, but someday you will understand that being the best, looking cool, and impressing people is not always what's important. Just because someone needs to run with a belt doesn't mean they are not a good runner...it means they are a smart runner and they listen to their body and know what is best for them. Once you get a few years on you and don't always have to be the best why don't you stop back and share some of your wisdom with us...until then....enjoy running in High School and keep it up...someday you will understand why people really run.
I just had to put my 2 cents in....the soapbox is now clear for the next person. |

Heh, the people I went to HS who were the most athletic and popular are almost universally the biggest dorks who have gone nowhere. The nerds are now the successful ones. This seems to be a pretty common theme. |
