I am curious. Has anyone done this: Metabolic testing (VO2 max and Resting). Do you recommend it / was it useful for you. Thanks. Smile

I've done all that stuff a few times. Mainly for students PHD work, I wouldn't go out of the way to pay for it myself I guess. You get a load of numbers and you say 'is that good?'. I guess it would be useful if you got tested on a relatively regular basis, but I find I can tell if I'm improving by how well I'm training and how quick I'm racing. It can be expensive when all you do is run till you fall off the treadmill and then get handed a piece of paper with numbers on.
