Really? I should slow down during my long runs? Okay, you twised my arm I started running 2 years ago (early 2005). I think (okay, I KNOW) I need to add more track/ treadmill speedwork to my marathon training. Any ideas of where to find a great training schedule (to work on qualifying for Boston)?
Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." - Joe Henderson
Welcome to the club Val!
All runners have this obession/dedication. Either that or we a nuts!! (my wife thinks in my case it is the latter)
I prefer to think of myself as nuts.
