Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." - Joe Henderson
I've used this stuff called Maxi-Deet, got it at Wal-Mart. That stuff worked pretty good. Stings on bare skin, though, probably because it's around 90% deet. It sorta melted some of the plastic face on my watch, too.
I prefere Burts Bees Insect repellant http://www.amazon.com/Burts-Bees-Herbal-Insect-Repellent/dp/B00012NJFA

Not sure how bug repellent affects sunscreen but it's probably something I should look into. The summer problem we have here in TX is the chiggers and mosquitoes! Thankfully, I do not have to live in the woods of AK in the summer... that place has way too many mosquitos!
I use spray on OFF! and deep woods OFF! usually just on my legs. The spray on stuff I think is made for children. Passion is a rather frightening thing because if you have passion you don't know where it will take you.
