In summary, this study demonstrated that, in young healthy adults, pulmonary O2 kinetics during the transition to moderate-intensity exercise became faster when preceded by a bout of heavy-intensity exercise.

Let me see if I get this correctly... so a bit of high intensity exercise at the beginning of a workout will improve performance at a moderate intensity latter?
