An odd request for the best shoes under £50 (Read 10 times)

    Hey everyone,

I recently bought a pair of Asics Gel-Cumulus 17 running shoes, which are great. Really good arch support and lots of cushioning for my heels.

However, I don't want to ruin them in no time by wearing them on my postal rounds (they cost me too much!), but the Royal Mail shoes are causing my feet too many problems to avoid wearing proper trainers instead. They're akin to carrying 2 bricks around on my feet!

I just wondered what people would recommend in terms of a suitable trainer (as lightweight as possible, same level of arch and heel support as the Asics) for my rounds, which involve walking between 8 and 11 miles per day, 5 days per week. I have such a low price in mind, as I'm sure with the number of miles walked per week, I'll have to replace them regularly.

Any advice would be much-appreciated, and I apologise for the random request!
