That when he makes me dinner, he needs to plan when he cooks around my running.

And that I can't sleep over on race weekends...well I tell him I can...as long as he doesn't mind a 5:30 alarm. Evil grin

Evil grin That he now considers himself a runner too.

Seriously, I think he gave up on the fight and decided to join me in the madness.

This one comes as a surprise, you wore him down! How great is that? It might be a while before he thanks you, but if he sticks with it he will eventually. Nicely done Mrs S!

The only thing he doesn't like is that I don't leave the Garmin on and synched if he's running after me. We're too cheap to buy a second Garmin.... Smile
GOALS:
Make it through the holidays.
Run 1000 miles in 2009.

A month or so ago he made the mistake of asking one of his managers what he thought about long distance running. Turns out his 53 y/o manager has been a runner for many many years and was more than ready for all the questions my husband had about the risks of running. Then to top it off, this week this same manager ran Boston for the 4th time and after doing so searched out my husband to tell him all about it. My husband still doesn't want to run long distances but he now doesn't view me as being slightly insane for running what I do (which really isn't a lot of mileage).

Today my husband ran his usual 3 mile course in 23:25...and yet he says he's not running for time. Roll eyes Big grin I can't wait to see him race a 5k again.

While I was on vacation and not home to log my husband's runs, he wrote them all down so that I could log them when I got back. Once I saw that, I KNEW he made the transformation. AND...he even went out and bought running shoes! He wore just regular sneakers for the past year and wasn't going to buy real running shoes (as he called them), but when I got home from vacation he was quick to show me what he bought.

It's about time. Yes

MTA: Now I have to be careful about what I've wished for. He's probably gonna kick my butt in the next 5k race we do together.
