I just asked hubby "What do you hate most about my running?", not certain what he would say. He says when I'm sick in the shower after long runs.
I have a little issue with serious tummy problems after a long run. Nausea, stomach cramps, etc. I'm usually curled in the fetal position for an hour or two |

Marion, what are you eating/drinking after your long runs? I was having issues for a while...couldn't figure out why and thought maybe it was the long run itself that was the cause. Then I realized that maybe WHAT I was drinking was the issue, since I really wasn't in the habit of eating or drinking anything special after my shorter workouts. I was having no-sugar-added Carnation Instant Breakfast in milk. Tried making it with lactose-free milk. BINGO. No more problems. Apparently I have developed lactose intolerance in the past year. No more problems since I made that switch. |

Just thought of a few things my wife like and dislike about my running.
dislike: Racing register fees like: I don't have any friends anymore
dislike: running in Sunday morning like: church members saw me running
dislike: I took off for hours for running like: I did all the dish, laundry and other house work before the run

Probably mine would complain most about getting up early to go to races.
She likes her weekend sleep.
Honorable mention (this is directly from her): listening to me bitch and moan about pain when she massages my legs.
DW has the strongest hands/fingers I have ever seen on a woman. She digs out muscle knots like nobody's business, but that shit hurts. |

| My wife doesn't mind me running so much. She knows I'm in a better mood if I get a run in that day. The main thing she dislikes is how much time I spend on the internet reading about running. I do my own running laundry, so she can't complain about that. |

Another vote for "time". She hates it that running after work keeps me from getting home until 7:30pm |

I forgot a couple. She hates how obsessed I am with running shoes (mainly a money thing). I'd get a new pair every month if she'd let me. Also, she can't understand why I need $10-15/pair socks. |

| My bubby hates that he can't do it too. I've tried dragging him a long and making him stick with it, but the man just hasn't been able to find determination and drive within himself. There's not much left I can do so I just look out for myself.... |

Nothing that hasnt been said before
The smelly clothes The training time - though I try to keep the running that interferes with family time to a minimum and do mostly early morning stuff before people get up The long races - we have three kids and it is tough to keep them enterained for too long while I am racing. 5Ks are fine, but anything over an hour and there better be a park for them to play at nearby. |

The wife used to hate when I ran after work because it took away from time together at night...Now I get up and run in the early morning, that way we have the rest of the day and/or night together...
She thinks I am crazy for wanting to do marathons but is supportive at the same time...
I only do like one race a year so the registration fees are not an issue....
But she does have me to thank for getting her into running herself.. |

My Husband says I'm too obsessed with running, Because I rarely take a day off even on vacation I am always looking for a way to get a run in.
He also dislikes my " Running and training podcasts" (Shaun Hannity and Limbaugh are much more exciting..)
But other than that he is happy with the results of this so called obsession
