I just ran this yesterday. It was a good experience to run with a large pack. It was a "Fun Run" so the timing was not kept by the race coordinators. Finishing time was 27:40. The odd part of the run was the walk was started at the same time as the run and followed primarily the same route. This made the first mile a very tight and unforgiving place to be.

That is odd that they started the walk and run at the same time...kinda sounds like the Race for the Cure around here. If I do it this year I will definitely start closer to the front of the pack, as the first mile of that was crazy trying to get around people who greatly overestimated their pace. Sounds like you had fun, though--how many people participated? k
