And I feel fine.
When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
you've been waiting since 1994 to use that line haven't you?
I grew up with the generation that thought REM and U2 were The Shit.
I always thought REM kinda sucked. So there.
REM was still together?
I'll admit to buying an REM cd or maybe a cassette or two (not sure the exact timeframe) because I thought it was the thing to do and after a while going, "wow, these guys are kinda...not good." But they had some great lyrics. Lenny Bruce is not afraid.

Birthday party cheesecake, jelly bean BOOM.
If you look up "1980s douche", a picture of Michael Stipe pops up.
(edit: ok, ok, I tried it. No he doesn't... at least not in the first few pages. Sting does, though. HEH)

Oh of course I tried this. The first face that pops up is of Sean Penn in Falcon Snowman. Then a few guys I don't recognize, then Jay Lenno. Jay Lenno? Not really a symbol of the 80's but okay. Then John Stamos--yeah that makes sense.

REM was mildly annoying, but had a few decent songs. U2 is horrible. Fucking terrible.
