Eric, technically the VO2max that you show in the logs is not a VO2 "max" but rather just a "VO2 for this activity". VO2max, as you know, is the VO2 associated with a maximal exertion. Most of my activities are not performed at maximal exertion.

You could then have a VO2 max available to show under profile. This would be the single highest VO2 reading, usually done during a race or a time trial.

Would renaming it to Max VO2 (for this workout) be more appropriate?

I would say its actually an average VO2 for the workout. I would call it "VO2average" or "VO2workout" for all activities except races.
