Cut back weeks are the biggest load of crap ever sold to the running public. Wait. This is still the same thread? Crap. Anyway I've never seen a need to plan cut back weeks. When ramping mileage it's pretty common to be pooped sometimes. Again, listen to your body. If you need a break take a break. If you feel a little tired, well, that's the running business.

God, what's wrong with us today, Mikey!? This is two-for-two!
If you have to cut back, you're doing it too hard. Of course, you CAN plan for it just to be conservative (I know Greg McMillan does it this way); but there's no NEED for it if you're listening to your body.

Never plan a cutback week. Life happens and forces cutback weeks on you when you least expect it. Usually the week after a "planned" cutback week.

Thanks for that. Just working on building my mileage back up and people tell you to cut back so body can recover and recuperate. I won't cutback - will listen to my body and run appropriately.
I'll have to remember that Nobby thank you
