Morton's Neuroma (Read 651 times)

Anyone had the schlerotherapy for MN? My case has gotten to the point where I can't run at all and walking isn't exactly fun. I've had 2 cortisone treatments with limited success. I really don't want the excision surgery.
I had alcohol injections a few years back for MN. It worked wonders for me, the pain disappeared after 2 shots, although I received a total of 4 and I think some people receive alot more. There is a huge thread going on right now on this subject over at coolrunning. Apparently I'm one of the lucky ones, as many people in the CR thread are not having the success I did. Good luck with whatever treatment you choose.
A guy I work with has this - after 2 cortisone shots and an alcohol shot he was back to running. He still has to go back for a shot every 6-8 weeks - but his doc says eventually he will need the surgery if he wants to stop getting the shots.

When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

I had my first alcohol shot today. We'll see how it goes.
