10k in 2 Weeks? (Read 70 times)

E.Stavropoulos

I am a young runner, but for the past 7 months or so I haven't been running. About a month ago I started up again but then had to stop for 2 weeks due to a very busy schedule and such...anyway I signed up for a 10k which is scheduled to take place in 2 weeks. I previously could have ran this much in a heartbeat, but now I'm wondering if it's healthy. Is it reasonable/doable to train for a 10k in two weeks time? I ran for the first time yesterday and did 3 miles without any problem...but is 6.2 too much? Also, does anyone have a good training plan to do so?

You can't train for a 10k in two weeks but you can probably finish one right now. Just do as much running as you can handle without going into it worn out.
