20% off Garmin 405 at REI (Read 680 times)

I just picked up my 405 at REI this evening. While I was in line at mail order pick up, I overheard the rep trying to sell someone the REI membership (worth it). He mentioned that members are privy to a 20% off one full price item from May 2 to the 11th. I asked and he said to come back on Friday with your original reciept and we will give you the discount. So for all of you that bought a Garmin 405 at REI at full price, swing by there between 5-2 and 5-11 to get approx. $70 back....or call customer service and ask..... Happy running

I was told the same thing in person when I stopped by my local REI store (Fairfax, VA). Not only that, they're not expecting to get them in stock for at least 2 weeks.
