8. Why sleep when you can read anatomy & physiology text books.

9. Your 6yr old daughter thinks that her little furnace of a body should park right next to your hotflashing body for at least one hour between the hours of midnight & 4am.

Heh...or you could have my #1 reason...just because. Or my other #1 reason, 'cause my brain seems to like to obsess about stuff I cannot control and/or things that are WAY in the future (yes, there will be a prescription sleep-aid recruited for me to get any sleep in the night or two before the HM, you can bet on it).

You just need to get to the point where you can still function without sleep. You can't run well when you haven't slept. When I don't sleep...well, I never sleep, so all is normal & good! It is annoying when I can't sleep, but it is such a part of life that it rarely ever has an effect on me.

Add to the list; the Olympics are on so late and I stay up to watch, and insufficient running.
