I was gonna get a 5 and a half miler in today to get my even 1900, but a couple of hours of shoveling snow made me decide that I was too busy and didn't have time. Oh well. That's what I get for trying to start a new business.

I am humbled by so many high mileage figures...

I started logging Mar. 2007:

Distance: 577.6 Mi
Time: 76:39:01
(3 days, 4 hours)

Should have gone out today for one last hurrah, but am planning to run 13 tomorrow to ring in the new year so planned to rest instead.

Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. T.S. Eliot

You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you might just find; you get what you need.

On New Year's Eve of 1996, I was tallying up my year and found myself at 1988.2. I hustled out the door for a 12 miler to put me over 2000. That's been my biggest year so far and probably will remain that way. 1700-1800 seems to work well for me at my age.

Sometimes it doesn't matter where the train is going, just that you get on.
