Hi,
Is anyone planning to do the UltimateXC race in Val Morin, Quebec (1/2 marathon, full, or 10K). It's in the same series at the Jay Peak race in July, which I think might be a little more extreme. Though I'm not sure.
I have a few questions about expectations for the race:

1) How much time would you anticipate adding to your PR (My PR for a half is 1:43). Would I add an hour? 2 hours?

2) I know you can anticipate getting wet. Do you carry a pack with extra socks? Shoes?

3) Do you bring food or rely on aid stations? One water bottle won't get you too far in a 5 or 6 hour marathon....again, do you fill a back pack?

4) Do you wear long-light-technical-type pants...or shorts? (The terrain seems full of bush and extreme obstacles.

Thanks for any advice you have. I have signed up, but have very little idea what to expect.

Thanks so much,

KM

"Aid stations: We will have water, energy food and drinks approximately every 5 Km on the course. "
