is there any way to see your monthly totals dating back a few years?

Go to your log and select Reports.
New Search or New Graph.
Set the Date Range (examples: Last 3 Years or set it to Custom Range and leave the start and end dates blank to get everything).
Group Result by: Month
Activity: Run (or leave it alone for everything).
Hit the Save As button if you want to save this report/chart setup.

Training Log.... Reports tab... New Search...
Select custom date range from the menu - put in your dates.. Group results by month.. select activity type...
