10k race (Read 392 times)

Gotta TRI

Well, to date I have run a 5k, 2 half marathons, 2 Tris' and now have officially run my first 10k. It was a small event, local to me, I'm not even sure how many racers there were. I swore I'd take it easy at the start but.... It was a downhill start that led to a pretty good uphill jag that then levelled out. Well, I hit it hard never let up and never quit to pull off a 55:14 and third in my age group. DW also scored a third place in her age group as well. Next stop, Timberman 70.3 tri next week.

    Consistently Slow

To heck with planning when there are prizes to be won! Great job.

Run until the trail runs out.

Congrats to you and your DW - very cool that you both placed in your AG! Good luck with your tri next week Smile
