Do you get mad when someone calls you a Jogger? (Read 1392 times)

hahaha! you look like a tomato! a cute tomato, but a tomato nonetheless. Tongue

    Giddyup.

I'll be in Dallas tomorrow. It's supposed to be 35 with a wind chill of 21 and rain. Texas is big. Nice fruit cup in the pic.

      Ultima tastes like failure.

That's cool! Yeah, my brother is going to grad school at Baylor in Waco, so I came down for spring break. I got a free plane ticket on my way down so I hope to come back during the summer. Although if it's this hot in march I'm sure it will be super hot in august! lol. mta: shaddup dear, your just jealous of my HOTness. haha. get it? hotness? Cool lopez, what are you doing in dallas? don't fry in the sun, although yeah, today it was bloody freezing. 40 degrees, whats up with that?? Angry and rain tomorrow...BLAH. feels like freakin pittsburgh...
mm yeah that fruit cup was delicious. my treat after the run, although i remember my brother eating most of it. Roll eyes

          Giddyup.

I grew up in Texas. My parents live in Dallas, and I'm going to help take care of my dad for awhile. Except for a quick trip to Little Rock.

            We've Got Big Hills

Hey, I just had a bottle of Boylan Brand Root Beer. THAT is some good stuff!
Hey Lopez, I'm heading to dallas. Thanks for the awesome weather Dead heh. Any good recommendations for either food or things to do? I really want to eat in a steakhouse or something before I leave. Do you know of any slightly less expensive but still good restaurants?

I'm in Dallas too. You should eat with me. (actually, I'm going to Little Rock in the morning) The weather sucks. If the weather did not suck, I'd totally suggest doing the Dealey Plaza thing in downtown... stand behind the fence on the grassy knoll and ponder stuff... visit the JFK assassination museum... As for steak places, I don't eat things that were once bigger than me, so I'm not a steak guy. I *do* know that there are approximately 100,000 steak places in the Dallas area. If modal or one of the other DFW yahoos sees this, maybe they will know better. Assuming they are cow eaters. Of course, buried in the jogger thread, the chance is low. Mind you, I grew up here, but I haven't lived here since about the time you were born (seriously, I left for school in 1984). My knowledge of cool stuff is limited. When I visit the folks (they's 70 and 79), we eat at places old folks like near their house.

Dammit, we were trying to figure out where the grassy knoll was. Roll eyes oh well. We made it to some Ellum place, kinda fun. Then ended up going to the Stockyards in Ft. Worth. OMG, that steak dinner was the best thing I've ever eaten. Yes How can you NOT be a steak guy?? Shocked Mmm, cows are sure delicious. Anyways, I'm back in pittsburgh now, but I must say Texas is quite an experience!

This is going to sound incredibly odd but did you happen to travel American Eagle today out of DFW to go back to Pittsburgh? Because I took American Eagle to Little Rock, and there was an Army gal and a taller Army guy headed to Pittsburgh trying to get the gate agent to help them with something (earlier flight maybe). And going in/out of the USO, etc. I realize that there are more than a few army type folks that travel between DFW (gateway to Ft Hood!) and PA. Still it would have been mighty funny if I had been standing behind you. The grassy knoll is very, very, very easy to find once you know what folks meant by the term 'grassy knoll' in 1963.

                      Back off!

usually it's a sedentary person, so NO, mostly because I know they have no clue - the perceive couch to fridge as "activity" - whatever

Haha, that may have been me! I was leaving out of DFW and flying american eagle. I missed my flight though and had to take a later one...that's what happens when you stay out too late. lol. There were a ton of army people around that airport though. Ah well, if I'm ever back in texas... Cool
Anyone who goes faster or further than me is a runner.
Personally, I'm proud to be a jogger because I remember not being able to go (run/jog/whatever) for 30 seconds on the treadmill.

                              Roads were made for journeys...
