Forums >Off the Beaten Path>Food Pr0n...
So when I'm not lifting, running, or working, I'm often in the kitchen whipping up some culinary delight for my wife and I. Admittedly, we're kinda "food snobs" and don't really find many of the restaurants here in the county any good. That being the case, we cook at home most of the time. Here's a sample of some of my dishes. Folks...Feel free to put up some of your own "food pr0n" for the crowd, k?
First up...Carnitas tacos, Escabeche (pickled jalapenos) from our garden, and Mexican rice...
Next up, gluten free batter dipped Alaskan Cod, Dijon braised brussel sprouts, sauteed sweet potatoes, portabello mushrooms in a balsamic/butter reduction...
Here we have a meatloaf w/ fire roasted poblano chilis, red bell pepper, crimini mushrooms, and Dijon mustard, with a warm spinach salad topped w/ maple bacon and a lime/cilantro viniagrette, and sauteed sweet potatoes w/ shallots...
Here we have a Spicy Chicken Thai Basil Eggplant over rice with sauteed green beans, heirloom carrots, shallots, and bacon...
And lasty (for now)...Chicken Satay, Thai Spring Rolls w/ Peanut Sauce, and a Spicy Thai-Cucumber Salad...

Modified: to remove the photo of Mr Creosote. I always find Monty Python funny. Just seemed rude after I looked at it-and not so funny.

I guess I should post a few pics of the Hefeweizens I've brewed, eh? **grin**
BTW, PGD...you had me at bacon.
I have a good friend who smokes and cures his own bacon.
Have you seen my Chocolate Decadence Cheesecake pic in the other thread? I just made 2 of those for Turkey Day...My cheesecakes are legendary if I don't mind saying so myself. **big grin**
Thirsty my friend? Enjoy...
And don't worry...There's plenty more...
Bacon, cheesecake, beer...*sigh* I married a guy who encourages activities that bust wrists, but doesn't really cook. Perhaps I did it wrong!
Food
Ha, I'm so innocent, I didn't know what pr0n is. Anyway, PGD, if you care to publish your address here, you'll have new friends over for dinner every night!
