I'm also prepping first time for a marathon using Hanson's. It seems to me that the key to the Hanson's plan is being able to balance the key workouts with the easy runs. What I mean is, you can probably do the intervals, the MP run, and the long run individually, but it is tough to put it all together. For this reason, I would recommend working the intervals, MP run, and long run into your schedule slowly...and start following the pattern of the plan now.
Are you doing this for world peace? For the homeless? Are you running for women's rights? The environment?
They couldn't believe somebody would do all that running for no reason.
