| Quote from Maplefly on 5/12/2008 at 9:29 PM: I have to admit I love my 8s SOOO much that I'm scared to upgrade. I read a nasty review or two about the 9s, so I ended up developing a pesky habit, er - obsession, of searching for 8s on clearance.
I did the same thing! I really have enough pairs of 8's to last me the rest of the year (I get about 400 miles on the a pair), but don't tell DH; I still want the 10's! You didn't miss much with the 9's, IMHO, if you loved the 8's. |

I loved the 8's, but I love the 9's more. I ordered a second pair on sale from Holabird for $89.95. I'm thinking I might still order one more pair. The shipping was free, btw.

| I loved the 8's and hated the 9's so I am interested in trying the 10's. I actually switched to Nike Pegasus shoes and have like 5 pairs of them right now. After I wear some of those out I will try the 10's again. However, since I get the Pegasus for between $60-$50 it might be hard to switch back to those $90 shoes. Keep sending in the reviews though I love reading them. |

| Just traded my new shoes in for a half size bigger. I'll report back after a few runs but they feel pretty good! |

| I bought a pair at the Boston marathon expo (at about half the price I'd pay for them in Ireland, if they were available here). They're the first pair of Asics I've ever worn - I was recommended them by my physiotherapist. So far (70 miles in), I'm finding them extremely comfortable and they still look like new. I've had a few blistering problems with my orthotics in other neutral shoes, but nothing so far in the 10s. |
2008 Goals:

- Sub 3:00 marathon

| Ojo and dfd64 > Can you tell me if you're happy with the 1/2-size up ? I sold my US 10 and am thinking of buying the US 10,5 size of the nimbus 10, but maybe i should go for a different model if the toe-box remains smallish. |

Luckily they had a pair of 9's so I bought those instead.
I'm just wondering what you think of the lacing system.

I tried them this morning and LOVED them. The lacing was sort of odd, but they fit so well and were actually more comfy than the 9s (IMO).

| I just purchased my second pair of 10s, these shoes are awesome, i ve always worn my shoes about 1/2 size bigger than my normal street shoe. i have 150 miles on my first pair and the still feel like ther right off the store shelf. The cusioning is amazing and handles my 210 lbs frame with no problem. i have never found a more comfortable and supportive shoe!!! |

I just bought the 10's and so far like them. I find them a bit heavy, which is fine for a trainer, but noticable when I switch between my Saucony's. I also had to go up a half size, so they run small. Or my feet grew, which is possible I gues, but terrifying to think about. |

places like Nationa sportsl are selling the 9's for $149 about $40 -$50 less than a month ago |

I forgot that their are other shoes besides Asics I'm a big fan of Asics Shoes. I tried others way back in highschool but none held up like Asics. Nikes were the worst they always blew out on me I've been running in Nimbus shoes for at least 5yrs probably a lot longer and I think they just keep getting better. I'm in 9's now and without question my next pair will be the 10's But after reading everyone's posting I'll try out my normal size and a 1/2 size bigger

Just polished off my first pair of Nimbus 10's. I only got 250 miles out of them, but sadly, that's true of all my shoes. I wear through the heels something fierce.
But I'd say compared to other shoes, the 10's felt newer longer and I enjoyed our nearly two months together of lots of running and no injuries.
My first pair of 10's was the silver w/ a little gold. My newest pair is the red (which I'd hoped to get the first time).
Here's hoping for 300 miles this time around. |
