Thanks, Dave. My 305 is acting funny and REI offered to give me a cash refund ... and I bought it at $350.

And since the HRM is gathering dust - and I like the color of the 205 better, and color is important, dammit - I may just take advantage this deal and downgrade.

I need to see if that is cheaper than costco. My 301 broke this weekend so I need to get a new garmin and like Jake I rarely use the HRM. If I really want to know HR, the 301 will probably struggle along but the case is cracked so the oregon rains will probably short it out soon. Plus I have to use my fingernail to start it as the button is gone.

MTA : Apparently Costco is not currently carrying the forerunner. Damn.

You can save a few extra % by determining if the retailer has a cashback program you're part of.

http://www.evreward.com/ <-- Great way to check

Buy.com only looks to have 1% to 2.7% cashback.

I could have done just fine with a 205. I rarely use the hrm with my 305. Heck, I rarely use the 305 period these days! Roll eyes
