Regardless, there's a link on the Community toolbar (up above) called "Find Routes". You can use that to find public maps created by other users.

cool thanks, I tried the find routes and only came up with one route in Boston?

You should try to widen your search. Put in Boston, MA, and select a 10 mile radius. You'll get a lot more hits.
