Karma. Wink Evil grin

Seriously... not sure. I thought they would have at least put up a fight. They way they steamrolled my Reds for much of the year, I figured they'd have no problem with the Dodgers.

Beatle I am with you, I watched Dempster seriously implode and I couldn't believe it. THen last night 4 freaking errors. Z pitched a pretty good game but the defense is what did him in. I am hoping that we can win the next three but I am not very optimistic.

They need to channel Harry's ghost to give them the intestinal fortitude to pull out the next three.

If not then there is always next year..... Roll eyes

I don't know why it has not occured to the Cubs to wear some other team's uniform in the playoffs. It couldn't hurt. Maybe the Cardinals would let the Cubs wear some extra jerseys? Or at least wear some 1906 throw-backs. Wool can be itchy though. They would not need to wear those oven mitts that passed as gloves in the Teddy Roosevelt administration. But wearing a post-1908 Cubs jersey just doesn't seem to work.

But there are other theories out there... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_Cubs_futility_theories

you can laugh to avoid crying though.

things that have happened since the Cubs won a world series:

    1. The NFL began
    2. Radio broadcasting began
    3. Boy Scouts began
    4. Haleys comet viewed twice
    5. Mark Twain died

things that have happened since the Cubs last appeared in the world series:

    1. The NBA began
    2. It's a Wonderful Life is released

well it is fun to do but that's it for me.

Hmm. Ironic that two former Red sox players, Manny and Derek Lowe, contributed to the Cubs demise. As a lifelong Red Sox fan, I (used to) feel your pain.
