Forums >Running 101>Post half marathon recovery
I'm looking for some recommendations for post-marathon recovery... and I'm mostly talking about the nice, girly stuff- like the best lotions and creams you use to massage your sore muscles, bath soaks, body scrubs, etc. I already know all about the tapering and resting, but now I'm looking for some beautifying recovery. I know a lot of people break out after running, get dry, cracked skin from the harsh wind, sun burns, etc., so I'm just looking for some ideas and products to try. Thanks!
L Train?
Maybe I've been doing it wrong. I just use soap.
Drop the soap and try body wash and a loofah. Works for me.
Eye of Sauron
Drop the soap!
And once again Mr. Wizard (aka: Stevie Ray) explains the internet.
Heh.
I put it under there.
Don't you sometimes wonder what's lurking in your loofah? I'm old-fashioned. Gimme a washcloth.
No, but my wife gets grossed out. She changes hers pretty regularly and I keep mine for year. I usually get a new one in my stocking at Christmas.
Cool Jump Suit

HobbyJogger & HobbyRacer
Some people here seem to prefer all these weird locally brewed ales and whatnot...
Is that what you mean by recovery?
It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.
