I spoke with John Parker about a week ago, and he said that the easiest money he has ever made has been the three times that the book has been optioned and those options were extended. Each time it was optioned for 6 months and each time extended another 6 months, and he only got one script to look at out of all three times and the script was horrible. I'm looking forward to when the sequel comes out next year and he reprints the original. Both of my copies have gone walking, and I'm not willing to spend the $50-$100 on Amazon that it costs to get a copy these days.
