I always liked these signs along the course, this one hangs in my garage. My dad got one for me after the 98 race, my 1st Boston marathon.  No Stopping Monday - still gives me some inspiration / motivation.

          Consistently Slow

Went to Boston injured.Completely dead is the only way I was not going. 2012 mile 16. Barely moving and around 80F. 3 hours to cut off (7hr). Eyes watered after realizing I could walk 10.2 in under 3 hours.

Run until the trail runs out.

The pain that hurts the worse is the imagined pain. One of the most difficult arts of racing is learning to ignore the imagined pain and just live with the present pain (which is always bearable.) - Jeff
