Earbud Recommendations???? (Read 539 times)

    Hello,

I read the previous post on ear buds, but wanted a little more input.

What do you like and why?

    Thanks,

They sound good, they stay in place and they are comfortable.

How can we know our limits if we don't test them?

I have the Bose In ear ones. Great sound! Durable. I had my last pair for 5 years and used them for everything, as frankly once you get something that sounds so great, everything else sounds like a tin can! I sadly left them on the hood/windshield part of my van after a 10k in the summer. I had a tight window between the end of the race and getting my oldest to summercamp on time, about an hour away, that when I took all my gear off and was getting in the van, I left them(caddy container and all!) on the little flat area between my hood and windshield.

Drove the 2 hours drop off and back(interstate) before I remembered what I had done.

I immediately ordered another pair. No doubts, no second thoughts.

They fit well and have 3 sized gummy tips with wings that steadfastly keep them in your ears, no matter the conditions. The cable is made well and has a clip that attaches to your collar or shirt to keep it out of the way(old one didn't have a clip...sweet!) and the cable routes out at 90 degrees from pin, so it seems more compact than the first gen.

They just came out, 3 months after I got my regular black ones of course, with a green sports edition that has waterproofing. I never had any issues with the normal ones in all the years I had them, but I would get the sports ones just to be safe.

        Pura Vida

I just got these.  Very happy with them.  And now I see that they're even cheaper than they were in Dec.

I have these.  They are cheap, have survived dozens of rain storms, and they stay in my ears fantastically.  They come with a huge variety of ear pieces, one of which actually fits my ear canal properly, which is something I have had trouble with with every other set of earbuds, ever.

They easily beat out pairs I've tried at 3-4X the price.

"When a person trains once, nothing happens. When a person forces himself to do a thing a hundred or a thousand times, then he certainly has developed in more ways than physical. Is it raining? That doesn't matter. Am I tired? That doesn't matter, either. Then willpower will be no problem."

I recommend the Jay Bird Blue tooth headphones

              Great sound,

              No Cords

Controls and mic on the ear piece

They have 3 different sizes of ear piece and three different sizes of fins to hold them in place.  So if you play around with them you will get a solid fit.

              Guaranteed sweat proof

Whatever you do, do not get Power Beats by Dr. Dre. They are fantastic for light workouts or around the house. The company claims they are 100% sweat proof, but my pair says differently. When I sweat, they short out and stop working until they dry out. I'll definitely have to check out some of the other recommendations.

I have become a big fan of yurbuds.  I have had nothing but failures with most of the earbuds that physically go into the ear canal, but these really stay put, they sound great, and are comfortable.  I did buy the women's specific version, which may have made a difference.

I used to have a cheap pair that was released by Nike and was great for running. I purchased them at my local Target store, but I can't find any like them anywhere.

Another vote for Yurbuds. They're not cheap, but they sound good and stay in my ears.

Cool. I'll definitely have to check those out. Beats by Dre are expensive too. Do you think Yurbuds are worth the expense?

I think so. It's actually hard to go MUCH cheaper and not get stuck with crap.

                            I quite like these:

They stay in my ears and cost less than $7.

I just checked out Yurbuds' website, and they look legit! Maybe when I get my next paycheck . . . Smile
