Today marked my one year racing anniversary. This was the first race I ever ran last year and what an improvement! Last time was 38:46 and this year I ran it in 32:50
How's that for getting faster over time!!! I wish I could say I thoroughly enjoyed this run more, but the terrain was a little "too" cross-country and trails for me. I'm not quite used to running uphill in sandy trails and having to dodge as many gopher holes/pits in the grass/random fruit laying all over the ground! But I tried my absolute hardest and really had to coach myself through much of the race as my body just didn't seem too into it today. It wasn't a PR for me, but I am very happy with my time overall.
It's just cool to see how far you can come over the course of one year, even through all the ups and downs we all go through.

A 6 minute improvement in one year is great. Happy anniversary.
