It was the first running of the Harbor View Half Marathon and I was all excited about getting some hardware. With the well attended Turkey Trot on Thursday I really felt like the field would be open for a good overall placement. The weather was a little cold (45 F) and windy but I managed to run a PR of 1:35:35.

The problem was that a carload of Kenyans showed up. This is a first year run with only 150 total entrants and some of the best half marathoners in the world show up! The top three places were all under 1:02!!!!

I got a PR, managed to win my age group, finished 15th overall and got to run against some awesome runners so I guess overall it was a good race.

	Congratulations. I guess there was some gap after the Kenyan finishers!
