"Treatment observed to work" -- observed by whom? In a clinical setting? Or are talking personal anecdote?
(Why does this feel so wrong and so right at the same time?)
The Logic of Long Distance
Minimalism allows the foot to move as intended by Mother Nature, thus strengthening the supporting muscles. I suffered though PF most of 2010 and early 2011. My PF has gone away after easing into minimalist running. (but not without outer issues)
2013 Goals.......
Cause can be many things: ramping up mileage too quickly is a common one but shoe type and too much pavement can contribute
Symptoms for me are lots of pain in my arch/heel area. Typically felt when I first start running and after runs I tighten up a bit.
As far as minimalism addressing the cause go read Born to Run. I think it address the topic quite well. Whether you agree with the author or not it is an informative book.
Non-clinically proven observation: Trent's questions are good for drumming up message board activity.
In a clinical setting?
Yes.
Did you get to the part about the Semiotic Triangle yet, cuz I think that needs some more work.
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
I look my best blurry!
Does anyone have the link to Trent's new 'alternative medicine' supply store, including copper wrist bands and healing crystals?
The process is the goal.
Men heap together the mistakes of their lives, and create a monster they call Destiny.
If you do please make sure I get it. I guess I haven't tried everything.
My DW has been in the same boat as you since early this year. She tried almost everything (but didn't go for the botox and stem cell injections that were recommended).
In the end I think she got well enough to race (I presume using witchcraft), but is still not 100% better.
WAsn't sure what DW stood for, so looked it up. Are you referring to your "dim wit"?
tl; dnr
I never understand the "DW" either. I have wondered whether it was a Saturday Night Live, Chicago Bear thing... "Da Wife", "Da Bears" , "DItka"
2013 Goals:
#1: Do what I can do. <DOING>
#2: Finish and enjoy my 2nd full Ironman
He meant Disney World and it's a really big boat.
Passion is a rather frightening thing because if you have passion you don't know where it will take you.
When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
