If this thing really works, I'm going to have to find another way to waste time at work.
"It enables the entire printed collection of the Library of Congress to be downloaded in just over one second"
I'm calling BS.
The McDLT said the hot side could be kept hot and the cold side kept cold. That was a leap in technology I could believe in. But even that failed.
2012 goal = 4:59 for 1,500 meters. (before then just get healthy)
I enjoyed this reply...
"But what if I need the entire printed collection of the Library of Congress in half a second ?"
We've Got Big Hills
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.

It kept the COOL side cool (supposedly). I loved the total waste of packaging too.
No offense.
If wiki is to be believed, that waste of packaging and the desire to be green is why McDonalds did away with the McDLT (although it sort of came back under other names). They got rid of all their styrofoam-y packaging, and that was the McDLT's whole gimmick.
(edited to add: I'm gonna guess that cost savings was a bigger deal than the desire to be green... not just the packaging cost but also the shipping cost for a big container of bigmac, mcdlt, etc stryofoam containers versus a container of paper wrappers)
Ultima tastes like failure.
