What is with this country? (Read 398 times)

I don't get it. Facebook has decided that photos of moms breastfeeding their babies are obscene, and they are banning users who post such pics.

What the hell? Obscene?

IT'S A BREAST BEING USED FOR IT'S INTENDED PURPOSE.

Some things in this country just get my goat, and #1 on the list is how the human body is viewed. You can shoot a person on TV, but, oh, heck, don't show people gettin' it on, and don't show a boobie! Oh, heavens, a horrible horrible boobie, our children will end up twitching in a corner! Insane prudes, the lot of them!

The hilarious thing is that the porno movie industry is bigger than "mainstream" Hollywood.

Sorry, just got my goat. Don't go callin' boobs obscene 'round me, no SIR!

I'm with you. My wife breast fed all three of our kids and the looks we would get when our very inconsiderate children needed to be fed and we were not at home. She would cover herself as not to be exposed more than absolutely necessary and still the looks and comments. But the woman on the beach in a string bikini is perfectly acceptable even if only their nipple is covered.

Nipples are of course the most evil part of the human female body. Much different from their male counterparts.

Sean, isn't it sad?! Kudos to your wife AND to you for being so supportive (I've read and heard so many stories about fathers who aren't and it makes me really sad). My mom breastfed my siblings and I when it was even less accepted than it is now. did's mom also nursed him, so there was never any question that the didlet would be a breastmilk baby. Of course, he had other ideas and apparently thought the female nipple was evil, so the little bastid got my expressed milk for an entire year.

Expressing = HUGE pain in butt.

The only thing that saved our son from a very painfully infantcy is the fact that he was breastfed. He is intolerant to all fructose. His stomache swells up to 2-3 times the size, he gets irratable and will have seizures. Forumal is made using large amounts of fructose so the little buggers will drink it. It could have actually killed him in the quantities he would have been injesting.

Gotta to love mother nature. She knows how to keep all her children happy and healthy!

Yeah, and isn't it nice that we start feeding our kids processed sugar at such a young age? It really upsets me when I see parents giving babies soda and other soft drinks when they are tiny. Such bad habits start young. High fructose corn syrup is really horrible stuff.

I like them so much I got myself two of them when I was just 13.

I'd like to buy another two now I am 36 though as I seem to have outgrown the first little pair.
