            Thanks for the clarification.  Unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of the website.  As MikeyMike pointed out, what you're asking can only be offered by a coach. I have never been a coach so I do not have the knowledge to come up with my own recommendations right now.  If you have an algorithm to derive a formula to generate training recommendations, please let me know because it makes a great addition to RA.

              I would also imagine that McMillan would probably like to restrict the use of his formula for recruiting possible runners to coach. Copyright/patent pending?

               

              The concept behind the RA estimator seems more sound: There's no gauging the slope of a line based on a single point through which it runs...  a second data point would at least judge response to a different distance.
