Ran my first HM yesterday June 1st. Set a goal of 8:00-8:05 pace with a hope to break 1:45:00. Happy to report that I ran a 1:44:26 7:58 pace.
I was 104 out of 560 runners in the HM but only 10 out of 32 in my age bracket.
Overall very pleased, but believe I could have done even better, but I gave up training last weekend to run a tough 5 miler on Memorial day. Oh well it was something that i had to do.

Very nice! Way to break 8:00, sounds like you had a good run with the potential to push it even further... always something for the future. Good job on your first HM!

Great job meeting your goal, Larry! The top third of your age bracket is good, especially since it was your first HM. Did you enjoy it?

Yes, I have to admit, I did enjoy it a lot and overall it was a set-up for the race.
