...Thought that would get your attention
By "nude" I meant I went running without any distance or time measuring devices attached to me! Which was remarkably liberating considering I seem to have been genitically welding to my Garmin for the past year!
Of course when I logged on here, I immediately logged on to here and mapped the route, worked out the distance. So I am still a slave to stats |

Since its arrival, my Garmin has joined me for every run. I went down hard on ice this winter on just the second or third run with my nice shiny new toy. As soon as I was sure my personal damage wasn't life threatening, I remember thinking "Garmin are you OK? Speak to me Garmin..."
I haven't considered running nude but I have tried the less traumatic step of not looking at my pace information during all (or even a segment) of a run. No luck with that so far, they really are addicting. |

| Any aspiring RDs around? I think a Naked Run would rock! NO ipods, no Garmins, and only undies. Okay maybe pasties for the girls so we don't scare the children. |
I'll try anything once, twice if I like it, three times to make sure.

I've run naked before. Quite a few times in fact. Too much swinging - it can lead to problems. I haven't done it since I graduated college.
I've also run w/o time or distance measuring devices on occasion. Usually when I forget them. |

| I went half neked the other day. Was about a mile in to my run when I realized that I had forgotten my ipod. |

| How can you run without the Garmin, that's like breathing without air, eating without food, sex without a partner! (did I say that?) |

I have only run twice with my new Garmin as I am recovering from a slight injury and I have loaned her to a friend who is running London this weekend so tonight I will have to "run nude".
I must admit handing over my nice new Garmin to someone who "is not really into gadgets" felt wrong!

Neville's friend after running London: I was never a gadget person, then I ran London with Nev's Garmin and I just couldn't bring myself to give it back...
I hope you at least said a fond farewell to it. |

Dont even joke about it ! I am finally starting to feel like I will be able to do some miles again and I cant wait to get better aquainted with my new toy.
I have a Polar RS400 with a foot pod and even after 2 short runs with the Garmin I dont ever want to use a foot pod again.
Is there a user group for Garmin obssesed runners - I may need to join!
