Your favorite neutral cushioned shoe....??

I have a neutral foot with very high arches. My podiatrist says they make "good running feet", but because of the high rigid arches, I need LOTS of cushioning to make up for the lack of flexibility in my foot. I've had some shin issues, and he suggested something like Nike Shox for the cushioning. I've used Adidas Bostons, and now have Brooks Glycerin 6. What's YOUR favorite neutral cushioned shoe??

I have medium to high arches and very forgivign feet. My favorites are whatever's on sale. I've used shoes from most major brands and to me they're all the same. That being said I got a free pair of Brooks Radius 7s last year for running Akron. I put over 850 miles on them and just bought their replacement (identical pair) for $67.50 so I guess I would say those are my favs for bedgetary reasons.

Its all about the Asics Cumulus (Cumuli ?) The only shoes that fit my wide feet good.

Saucony Grid Triumph 2/3/4 - However, I am fearful because I hear the 5 is more narrow.

I tried the Nike Shox because my sister got them for me and they were nothing but trouble. Runners knee and a major blister on the arch of my foot. I ran for a week in them and then switched to the Brooks Radius 7's. I love them and my second pair should be arriving today. I have been a Nike guy since 96 when I started running Track and XC but I don't know if I will ever go back.

I used to run in the Brooks Adrenaline until I found I needed a neutral. Now I am in the Glycerine and we get along great.

My two pennies: I love the Glycerine line. I've owned at least 1 pair from edition 2 up to 5. I have to tinker with the laces sometimes, but they're great---by far my favorite. Like Mr. Inertia I tend to go with what I can get on sale--so I'm usually running in a previous year's model, but I've also tried a great variety I've got Asiscs Nimbus (8 I think), I haven't quiet decided yet if I like them I've had the adidas adistar cushion 5's-okay, good heel cushion (mine have 400+ miles on em and still the heel cushion seems nice I use them for short recovery runs now), but the forefoot was kinda meh I also had Nike Vomero's (the first addition)--I thought they were AWESOME (But like every Nike pair I've ever owned something seems to go wrong with them at around 200-250 miles, Phenomenal cushion initially though) I like the Mizuno Wave Rider, but the 10's fit me funny and I can't find the 9's anymore (I think they're on 11now anyway) I tried the Mizuno Wave Creation, but wasn't real crazy about them--despite the fact that they were supposed to be the higher end model comapred to the Wave Rider I thought the Rider was better.

I have similar feet although with the addition of narrow heels. I am currently running in NB1062, but can't really comment yet (so far so good though), since I'm benched with an achilles problem caused by my Saucony Trigron Grid Rides - they fitted great except that heel tab curves too far forward and despite adding heel lifts, they continuously caused achilles soreness because of it. I'm hoping they'll redesign the heel profile at some point, because otherwise they were are really good shoe for me. I also have a pair of Adidas Supernova that I can only use on the TM since on the road,they feel like I'm running in street shoes - and flat, like running with boards on my feet. I also find the tongue is short, unpadded and moves around too much. These were my first replacement for the Saucony's, but didn't work out so well. I'm hoping the 1062s ($$$ compared to the others) will do the trick. None of these are recommendations of "favorites" exactly, since I'm still hoping to find mine.

My feet are also similar to yours. I totally love my glycerin 6. They are so much more comfortable then anything else I have run in.

My favorite is the NB 826, but I run in those during tempos, intervals and races. Very soft and light shoe. For long and easy runs I'm on my 3rd pair of the NB 1061/1062.

I have not ran in Nike Shox, but tried a few pairs on. They felt terrible. Other people that have ran in them have told me they suck. Nike quit making good running shoes about 10 years ago IMHO. MTA: It may just be my feet, but Nike running shoes don't feel right to me these days.

Yeah the Shox are pretty much a waste. They don't give much for cushioning and are pretty heavy. Has anybody tried both the Glycerine and the Radius? Is there a difference? One better than the other?

The Shox are mall shoes. The Skylons and Haywards are great neutral trainers, IMO.

I agree. Even their non-running shoes don't seem to work with my feet. I had a pair of shox and I ended up never wearing them because they hurt after wearing them for 15 min.
