I'm eating a honeycrisp apple and thinking I should have been in bed an hour ago. I slept like 10 hours last night...like the dead. I think my brain is confused. Not used to sleeping that well in about the past month. So now my brain wants to party like a rockstar. As Homer Simpson said, "shut up brain or I'll stab you with a Q-tip!"

I typically get songs stuck in my head during long runs and long races.

At the Portland Marathon, I got the General Cinema jingle stuck in my head. I just found it on youtube and posted it elsewhere. Here it is again.

They changed it in 1980. Cleaned it up and made it spiffier. I think this spiffier version isn't nearly as good.

I remember being very depressed when it changed.

Ha, I like the original better, too. I have never seen those. We have primarily Loeks/Star/Celebration Cinema theaters in this area.

Working late and remote. Dropped a dime on your Girls fundraiser while laughing my ass off at Swamp posts. Marathon in a week and a half and can't wait.

I think General Cinema is RIP now. We had them in Dallas; they were somewhat nationwide. Occasionally, you will hear someone whistling the jingle in odd places... like sitcoms. I remember it coming up on King of Queens. But it's one of those things that just sort of passes by if you don't know what it is.

Running to run. In a zone. Six days per week. Threw Higson I2 overboard about three weeks ago and jsut focused on running and not on a plan. Dropped my stress level by 2x.

Just ready to run. Trying to decide a pace or goal. No clue. I'm waffleing more than IHOP.

Ironic thing is I will run another one in two weeks after Indy since its in the neighborhood.

DW thinks I'm nuts and she's spot on. But the money I raised for ACS has been a good thing.

Seriously, if DH were going to be in town the weekend of Grand Rapids Marathon I would totally be registering for that one, too--2 weeks after my first. 'Cause I am just that much a glutton for punishment. Tongue

Pain is temporary. Glory lasts forever. I say go for it. Te Swampies seem to have it down.

I ran the Goofy at Disney and really enjoyed it. No PRs but a great weekend. So you can do the double!

Oh, I'd love to, but there'd be no one to watch the rugrat or provide support to me while out on the course (plus I think it might be full by now, anyhow). That's why I didn't register for GR in the first place. I hope it's on a better weekend, next year...if not I'd love to do Milwaukee, again.

That's just Appalachain!

DH needs to HTFU and give you the chance to run.

DW and kids are making sings and getting ready for the 18th. No DNF in my cards. I'll crawl across first.

BTW - thanks for the New Balance clue. I'm on the list and got my first pair a couple of weeks ago.
