Running in the rain is awesome. I think you just got an excuse to avoid running. The rain is an excuse TO RUN

I'm hoping for rain a week from Sunday, when I run my 5k in Austin. I'm used to running in temps from 30 to 45 degrees, and the low for that day is predicted to be 62.
Rain would be a good thing. Maybe the weather forecast will be wrong, and the temperature will unexpectedly fall to 40 degrees that morning.

So yesterday I ran a near-12 mile run in the rain. A total of 2 1/2 inches of rain fell during the morning, quite a bit during the run. While on the route, I saw a number of waterfalls where normally there are none.
This is what running in the rain reveals -
Just sayin'

I didn't even know there was just a thing as stupid miles...
I can see the conversation now:
Co-workers: Shan, what are you running today?
Shan: 11.8 miles
Co-workers: wow that's long!
Shan: Nah, that's stupid!!
When's the next one?
