Yes, at import only. Once saved they revert back to the activity distance unit default

Eric, I'm not only seeing meters instead of miles in edit mode, but also on my calendar view.

I'm not sure what you're seeing. The change I made only affects intervals, which are not displayed in the calendar view. Could you take a screen shot of the problem? I'll send you my email address via PM.
