I've only seen this show a few times. But, that male trainer looks like he's sick. Does he have AIDS or cancer?
He looks gaunt and his temples seem to stand out. He looks like a skeleton.

this guy? I'm guessing his body fat is something like 8 or 9%. Which makes him look strange to a lot of us Americans.
2012 goal = 4:59 for 1,500 meters. (before then just get healthy)

I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
Yeah, my 17-year-old son is between 8 and 9% body fat, and he doesn't look like that, thank goodness.

No offense.
That's Bob. Reasonable pic of him too, though he needs to pull up his damn pants. Based on that shot alone, I'd say "doesn't look too gaunt and doesn't strike me as sick, certainly not OMG bad illness".
Then again, that's a way better pic than of him in full motion video on the show with different lighting and no photoshop.
I don't think he looks terminally ill or chemo-y, but I do know what Anya means. He doesn't look altogether healthy either,
Ultima tastes like failure.
A Saucy Wench
I'd agree with Trent that he is probably closer to 3% than 8% and I think he does look much thinner than in that photo.
His face has gotten thinner looking over the seasons, but that isn't unusual when someone tries to maintain very low body fat over 40. At a certain point many very thin people start to get a gaunt look as the skin on their face thins and loses elasticity with age.

Really? Hmmm....I think he looks very fit....sick? no, I don't see it.
You wouldnt be the first to think so anyway. If you google it there are loads of message boards debating his health.
