FARMINGTON -- The 11th annual Healthy Beaver 5K Road Race is scheduled to be held May 3 at the University of Maine at Farmington Health and Fitness Center with the kids one-mile fun run tabbed for a 9:30 a.m. start followed by the 5K at 10 a.m. The event is a fundraiser for the University of Maine at Farmington men's and women's cross country teams. Modified to add: Just found the application for this year's race, the maximum entry fee is $8, there is no T shirt for this one. John A view log posted: 7/3/2008 at 1:35 AM Monster Dash (They used to have it in Boston) 5k race and everyone dressed up in costumes (My wife was running with me then and we dressed up as Raggedy Ann and Andy)........There were so many people in the race that by the tiime we got started, the first place guys were already finishing up......It was a blast.... 2009 GOALs -30 MPW (MINIMUM weekly mileage) -5K time of 23:59 or faster -5 Mile time of 42:59 or faster -Half Marathon - 1Hr 59mins or faster -Run Bay State Marathon (completion - no time goal) Favorite Running Quote: Champions are made when no one is watching.
